We were created by God, in His image, on purpose with purpose. He knew us before we were formed in our mother’s womb. He is so good to us! God gives us freedom to choose. We can choose if we want to rise early in the morning, if want to go to bed at night and if so, what time. We even get to choose all that we do in every given day.

In the midst of our choices, God offers us wisdom, discernment, hope and forgiveness. We are sinners in need of a savior. Left to ourselves, we would be devoured by our own desires, lusts, thoughts, actions and reactions.
We have need of God, his plan, his power, his grace, his mercy and his love. He offers us the gift of repentance. It’s not a gift given one time. Repentance is the gift that keeps on giving, available always and for that I am grateful! For I know I am a sinner and have need of not only His forgiveness, but all that comes with it…hope, peace and joy.
Repentance is a lifestyle, the way in which I choose to live. It is the foundation of my self forgiveness; it saves me from drowning in frustration, condemnation, self doubt and pity. Repentance revives me and relieves me of feeling alone. Acknowledging God being with me and for me empowers me to do what I need to do…stay, stand, move, and grow beyond my point of sin.
Have you embraced repentance as a lifestyle?
