My greatest treasure is how I impact others now as well as in the future. With so many roles and responsibilities, it is not easy to manage my life. I use my Daily Planner to organize and implement the things that matter the most. It helps me to be more engaged and purposeful in the present because daily I am living my legacy and so are YOU.

Many of the notable things that are obtained or accomplished by women each day is the result of them being intentional, disciplined and or diligent to a task or a lifestyle. For me that includes focusing on SELF…

Submit to God daily. To refresh my heart and mind, I begin each morning with quiet time devoted to prayer, engaging the Word and journaling. Though it doesn’t change my situation or circumstance of life, this committed time with Him gives me hope and joy as I begin the day.

Eliminate distractions. This is something I have to be intentional about. To help me, I have a structured routine for daily tasks and I have scheduled specific days for weekly and occasional tasks to be done. Of course, there are the intermittent distractions of people and things, specifically my phone. Setting boundaries helps with both of these.

As an entrepreneur who usually works from home, I hold true to my personal and business routines even when those close to me approach me with a phone call or an unexpected visit. This has encouraged others to respect my priorities and my time. When I pause briefly for a short conversation or to check my notifications…social media, emails etc. I give myself a limited amount of time to respectfully engage people or a 15-20 minute time frame to read and respond to notifications. This allows me to maintain balance throughout my day.

Listen for and to the Holy Spirit. I talk to the Lord throughout the day seeking Him for wisdom, guidance, affirmation and encouragement. So, I listen for His response and consider the convictions, correction and comfort I am given.

Finish Well the things that I begin. No more procrastination. This is my new motto. Often times it’s the little things that I leave undone that become big distractions. Completing simple tasks helps me to focus on the greater tasks with confidence.

Focusing on SELF really keeps me grounded and blesses me with peace and joy as well as success.
