It’s true, women need each other in every facet of life. There are so many things that only women can relate too, menstrual cycles, pregnancy, child birth, breastfeeding, menopause etc. Because we experience some of the same things and some of the same seasons we can be of great influence and encouragement to one another. Too often as christian women, we walk along this life’s journey alone.. Personally, I need a support system, genuine sisterhood. It is important for me to always have a Paul, a Timothy and a Titus in my life. These were men of the bible that related to one another well and were instrumental in each other’s christian walk.

My Paul, like unto the apostle Paul, is a mature woman who actively follows Christ in her roles of womanhood. The life she lives is an example that inspires, encourages and challenges me. The beauty of this woman is experienced not just seen. She is a person whose reputation of loving Christ and living for him are evident to anyone who encounters her. This role is not always filled by a person I have direct contact with or access to. There have been times when my Paul has been a woman of faith of whom I gleaned from afar.
As you may know, Paul and Timothy developed had a brotherhood. My Timothy is a christian woman, a sister in Christ, who I can do life with. She is one who is tangible. I consider her a dear friend, one I can confide in and trust. We have likes and differences and we have great respect for one another We pray for and with the other. What’s most important about our relationship is that we grow in our faith together. We are iron sharpening iron in this season of life.
My Titus as was Titus of the Bible, is one who is lead in faith by example. She is one who looks up to me. Her admiration keeps me humble. She encourages me to be self-aware. As she seeks information, wisdom and advice from me I can’t help but consider my own thoughts, actions and faith unto God.
The role these women play is of great importance to me. I regularly identify who these women are as I move from season to season in my life. They are necessary because they keep me growing in faithfulness unto the Lord. Relating to them encourages me to walk in His integrity. They keep me accountable to seek and follow God daily.
