It’s a Tradition!

Sunday dinner is a tradition at our home. Actually it is one of my favorite traditions! We have always enjoyed a meal together as a family on Sunday. It’s something I told our children they could look forward to even when they were grown. Each week our home is open for our children and their children to stop by, relax and enjoy just being in the midst of family.

I am grateful for our open kitchen, dining room and living room. It allows me to be a part of the family fellowship as I prepare the meal. It blesses my heart to see our children engage one another. Sunday dinner really encourages a closeness between our three generations of children. There’s always lots of talking and laughing, it’s like a holiday celebration each week.

This summer I adjusted my cooking schedule a bit so that I could be available to hang out with our grandchildren outside. It was so much fun! I enjoyed reading to them and playing with them, but most of all I enjoyed watching them play together. What’s your favorite family tradition?
